Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or place entered in a search tool is transmitted to the outside company that operates that tool. The partner processes the query and supplies its response. Eureka County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained so the team can answer it. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers may automatically receive these technical details:
- The IP address assigned to your device
- Which browser you are using and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The pages you visited and how long you stayed on each
- The site that sent you here, if any
- Timestamps for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They help show, in aggregate, which pages attract traffic and where visits end. Analytics providers assist with that measurement. A browser can block cookies, although doing so may change how some features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Operating the website and maintaining its performance
- Routing a search to the selected partner
- Measuring which resources visitors use
- Finding and correcting technical faults
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Eureka County Criminal History does not host, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general instructions for reaching Eureka County Sheriff Records/Technical Support, local court clerks, Nevada DPS RCCD Records Bureau, and the Nevada Sex Offender Registry. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not turned into a consumer report or a third-party criminal record.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Their own privacy policies govern information entered there, including retention and sharing. This policy does not control a partner's systems, so review the partner's terms before sending a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Eureka County offices, Nevada agencies, courts, legal resources, and outside search services. Once you leave this website, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal data.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to measure activity across websites and select targeted ads.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, so the site cannot guarantee that unauthorized access will never occur.
Users Under 18
The website is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If data from a minor is identified, a request may be made for its deletion.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy or consumer law may provide further rights based on where you live. Nevada's Public Records Act, NRS Chapter 239, and criminal-history dissemination law, NRS Chapter 179A, govern government records and repository data rather than this private site's visitor files. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
